Rising Stars “Extended Play” & “Junior Rising Stars”
Monday & Tuesday, July 21st and 22nd, 2008
Game Entry Information:
Invitation for teams participating in 2008 Summer Tournament as well as any and all 18U, 16U, and 14U* teams
*This will be the introduction of the Junior Rising Stars for 14U teams*
Please contact us via e-mail with your information by June 30th.
As desired, straight-up play or situational play
$50*/game – as many or as few games within the two days available
*Includes two ASA approved umpires and game balls*
This event is sanction by South Florida ASA. An official ASA roster and/or travel permit is required. Otherwise, a $6 cash payment is due upon registration so that your team can be registered with ASA only for this event. This fee is necessary for insurance purposes.
The Florida Marlins have arranged a “special” Rising Stars/Marlins baseball night!!
The Florida Marlins invite each participating player in Rising Stars and/or “Extended Play” to be their guest at the Marlins versus Atlanta Braves game on Monday, July 21st at 7:10pm. *Coaches and parents can purchase discounted tickets*. The complimentary tickets will be handed out at the teams’ first game on Monday. (Naturally, games will be finished by 6:00pm on Monday).

Our Summer Showcase Tournament is combined with a high quality Recruiting Camp and a National Vendor Tradeshow!! Over 200 College Coaches will attend this year and we expect many vendors to participate!! Class A and GOLD teams are invited to play. This tournament is an invitational tournament.
The Showcase is located near Fort Lauderdale, FL in a western suburb called Davie, only 7 minutes from the Fort Lauderdale International Airport. The tournament will use fields at Bamford Sports Complex, Brian Piccolo Park, Nova Southeastern University, Driftwood Park and Central Park. Maps and Directions
Showcase dates are July 18-20th and are open to 16u and 18u. Entry fee is $600 per team. Entry fee is due within two weeks of entry.
Players Recruiting Camp will be held on July 18th. Please click link for information.
Practice game time slots will be available on July 16-18th for those teams that would like extra games before the showcase. Go to Practice Game Request to submit your request. The cost is $50 per team, and this includes balls and two umpires.
Official exhibition play will start on July 18th. All teams should be prepared to play their first game on Friday morning and be prepared to play through Sunday evening.
Showcase format is Round Robin Exhibition Games. Each team will have 6 Showcase games at 1 hour and 30 minutes. Each team will be assigned to one park for all 6 Showcase games. Each player will have their profile information posted on our secure website available for over 1600 registered college coaches to view, as well as, included in the College Coach Showcase Book. Pitching distance will be 43 feet.
It is MANDATORY that ALL teams submit Player Profile by June 15th. This information can be done through our online Player Profile Page.
IT IS MANDATORY THAT ALL TEAMS BOOK THEIR HOTEL ROOMS THROUGH OUR HOTEL COORDINATOR, LIZ. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN A $50.00 PER PLAYER PENALTY (not to exceed $500.00).
Please submit your hotel request through the Hotel Request Form. Please allow at least 14 days for Liz to contact you. When Liz contacts you, you will be given a selection of hotels to choose from. Once you select a hotel that best suits your needs, Liz will send you contact information to the hotel representative, who will then contact you. (PLEASE BE PREPARED TO PRESENT HOTEL CONFIRMATION NUMBERS AT CHECK-IN). For any further questions you can contact Liz at (954)236-0573. Please be sure to leave your name, team name, and a phone number where you can be reached day or evening.
Teams that cancel after being accepted in the tournament will be charged a 50% cancellation fee. After the game schedule has been completed, teams that cancel will be charged a 100% cancellation fee. There will be no refund of entry fees or practice game fees due to uncontrollable circumstances.

At check-in, all teams must submit copies of proof of team insurance and provide a working cell number where we can contact you during the tournament. This is mandatory.
Any changes made to the Player Profile database after June 15 may not be included in the College Coaches Showcase Book or the Tournament Program.
We anticipate 200 college coaches to participate this year. See the list of Schools Who Have Attended in the past.
Game balls are provided by the tournament for all games, including practice/scrimmage games.
All teams should bring their own water/gatorade coolers, as well as, ice and cups for their players.
